DIY Native Bee/Insect Hotel

Its easy!

All you need is a drill and a log or piece of firewood...

(make sure not to use any treated wood)

You'll want to drill a series of holes ranging between 3mm-10mm at about 15cm deep.

In the example above I have just wired 3 small log sections together with a series of 3 different sized drill holes about 15-20cm each. You are also welcome to use a much larger log section to prop up on the ground however a smaller one like this would be Ideal for an apartment as you can hang them on the wall as seen in the picture.

To pair with your native bee hotel it would also be a great idea to plant your garden out with a range of native flowering plants to attract the bees to their new home you made for them.

If you don't have the required tools & or materials... Not to worry you may also build or repurpose a birdhouse and fill it with hollowed bamboo pieces this will work all the same.

If you live in Melbourne and you are unable to create your own but you would still like to have one of these in your garden or apartment balcony, feel free to send us an email: reverseindustree@gmail.com

We would be more than happy to create one for you at a small cost.
