Activated Charcoal and Soapberries - Try it, you will like it!
I saw Joel at the St Andrews market. He is very passionate about sustainability and a plastic-free economy, and it's good to see that young people like him care about the planet and future generations. I bought this Activated Charcoal Powder and the Soapberries. The powder is a wonderful product and a great alternative to the common toothpaste. I'm used to herbal tastes, so the tasteless powder didn't bother me. Although it's indicated that it's slightly mint-flavoured, I wouldn't expect too much of it, after weeks of use, I still need to find that mint flavour. Best to keep your toothbrush dry when applying the powder, or else it starts making a paste.
We used the soapberries as well. To give the clothes a bit of a nice flavour, I added some natural flavoured oil to them after I let them soak in warm water for 15 minutes, just to activate them. Clothes were clean like they would have with regular detergents, however no excessive foam, so much friendlier for the environment, and the soapberries can be re-used up to 5-6 times, depending on how dirty the clothes are.
